Chances are, you've seen more and more lately about "vibration". What does it even mean, and why does it matter?
The first law of thermodynamics states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another. Everything is energy, we all full of energy, and this energy vibrates at a certain frequency. Everything in our universe is vibrating and constantly in motion- even items that seem to be stationary are vibrating, shifting, and resonating at various frequencies.
There are different levels of energy, and when something vibrates at a lower frequency, it feels heavy – both physically and emotionally. On the other hand, things that vibrate at a higher energy feel lighter – physically and emotionally.
These 7 tips help me raise my vibration, what are some you use?
Affirmations, positive statements that can help you to overcome negative thoughts, have the power to change your life. They raise your vibration and attract what you want into your life. When Nia and I first began planning to launch BROWN GIRL jane, we noticed that a scary number of things we'd say aloud would end up happening. It happened so much that we knew we had to become more intentional about clearly stating our daily intentions and affirming ourselves along our journey.
My mother is huge believer in the healing powers of crystals, so we've been surrounded by them our whole lives. Crystals are known for their high vibrational energy, and they allow us to tap into the healing frequencies of mother earth. An amazing bonus is how gorgeous they are- even looking at crystals generally helps with a feeling of calm and relaxation.
“SAY I LOVE YOU, Let them know it's real!”
We all know that music has a profound effect on our mind and body, but it's also a fantastic (and super easy) way to raise your vibration. Have you ever noticed how a simple song or beat can lift your spirits, or alternatively, take you to a somber mood within minutes? Consciously select positive music that lifts your mood, which will help you to release negative thought patterns and operate on a higher frequency.
Being surrounded by nature raises your vibration, so an easy way to bring the nature indoors is through house plants. I have the opposite of a green thumb, so this one was always a bit of a struggle until I found low maintenance plants that would survive despite my clumsy efforts. I absolutely love elephants ear, ferns, and you can almost always find aloe vera in multiple spaces in my home. Not only do they clean the air, but they release oxygen and help you to breathe better.
SAY "I LOVE YOU"
Let them know it's real! Expressing love raises our vibration- it's the strongest force in the universe because it releases joy. On tough days when you are feeling stuck in a low vibration – consciously begin thinking of loving vibrations. These can include the people you love, an event you love, even an item you love. And make sure to say I LOVE YOU everyday, first to yourself.
CLEAR THE CLUTTER
We all know the feeling of walking home to a huge mess. Or the wonderful feeling of walking in a seeing everything clear and in its place. Clutter has low-vibrational energy and induces a heavy feeling on our spirit. Releasing the household items in your life that no longer serve you lightens the energy and raises the vibration in your home.
JUMP IN THE WATER
Bonus points for the ocean, but hey, a bath works too. Negative ions work wonders on our energy centers, and the water allows you to almost instantly raise your vibration.
